Senior project to find a quote to invent typography that best portrays it.
My inspiration for this piece was a mix between Alice in Wonderland 1951 (the animated original) and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. 1971
“My inspiration for this typeface was one of 3 ideas of something that describes me. Since I learned at an early age with my grandfather about how an objects parts work, obtaining knowledge about different tools, and generally how to fix things, it’s become part of who I am and how I problem solve. This in part with my recent interest in steam punk, led me to create a font that had all those little inner workings. I find it fascinating that when put together they make a system function, but when the pieces are taken apart, they can still have other potential uses.”
